In welded bonnet configurations, the bonnet is threaded and torqued to a specified value, while the body-bonnet joint is strength-welded, offering dual protection against leakage. A fully guided wedge minimizes wear on seating surfaces. Optional designs include double packing, a leak-off connection, live-loading, and a packing blowout feature for easy replacement of worn packing.
