Cast Steel Gate Valves are designed and manufactured to ensure volatile organic compound (VOC) leakage of less than 100 ppm (parts per million). Extensive baseline laboratory testing, including both static and cycle testing, has been conducted to establish the critical design parameters necessary for achieving low-emission sealing in the stem packing and bonnet gasket areas. An in-house testing procedure has been developed and is performed periodically to ensure that standard product design and manufacturing criteria consistently result in the KOSEN Cast Steel Gate Valve meeting a maximum VOC leakage of 100 ppm prior to shipment.
