Inner Structure of FTTH Fast Connector

1.Stem structure: this structure is simple and cheap, but has a lot of disadvantages. This structure is stricter with the fiber optic diameter and cutting length, otherwise, any mismatch of product will cause the fluctuation of parameters. In addition, the return loss is entirely depend on the condition of cutting face of fiber optic, thus it has high requirements for operators. These products can be applied to the temporary repair of fiber optic link, but are not suitable for FTTH access link.

2.The embedded fiber structure: in this structure, we put a part of fiber in a ceramic ferrule, and the top of fiber has been whetted previously, the operator only needs to cut another end and insert it. This structure does not depend too much on the cutting face, therefore, can greatly reduce requirements for operator; the end face of the connector is applied the pre-grinding technology and reduce return loss.

The Form of Fiber Optic Connectivity

1.Fixed connection: mainly used for permanent connections in optical fiber cable lines, usually taking methods of welding, adhesive connection and mechanical connection. Features of this connection are little loss and high mechanical strength; but need welding machine with higher cost.

2.Active connection: mainly used for connecting fiber-optic transmission systems and equipment as well as instrumentation, via an optical connector plug. This connection has flexible joint and easy to change the joint, however, the loss and reflection is also high. Now the price is low, you can buy products directly, if you want to buy components, end surface polishing and grinding equipment are also needed, so the cost is much higher, it is recommended to buy jumpers.

3. Temporary connection: measuring coupling connection fibers generally use this method to connect. Features are convenient and flexible, low cost, loss less demanding, this connection usually applied in the provisional measure, it can also used welding machine or glued the V-groove.

Features of FTTH Fast Connector

1. Not necessary for special equipment, which only needs simple tool like Miller pliers;

2. Clamping member has the same function as locator, no need for compartments, coating processing tools;

3. Simple processing, unnecessary for special training and the operation is simple.
