Y-Type Swing Check Valves are designed to prevent backflow in pipelines. The flow through the valve is in a straight line, resulting in minimal pressure drop. The disc swings into the open position as the media flows through the line, while back pressure in the line holds the disc in the closed position. Aluminum bronze swing check valves can be installed in both horizontal and vertical lines but must be positioned correctly according to the flow direction arrow marked on the body. These valves are suitable for horizontal use only, as gravity may affect the swinging motion in vertical applications.
